Well...can you believe it is December 1???? I finally had time over break to sit down and add all the photos that have been waiting to be added to our website!
Our Elf on the Shelf has come to our classroom. Each morning he will be waiting in a new spot with a new Christmas message for the children. It is hard to believe Christmas is just 24 days away....are you ready?
We are also made a Christmas chain that counts down to Christmas day. Each link has a fun activity to do each day...hope you have fun with your children!
We have had a wonderful start to school in our class! We have talked about how we fill each other's buckets and the good choices we can make each day. Last week we had our first week of instruction in our new reading series. The focus was on things we do at school, which was a perfect way to start our year! We are all getting used to the new series, including me! There are many different digital tools that we are learning about and will be using on our iPads soon! We took most of our weekly assessments together last week so we could all learn how to take them. This week the students will be doing them more independently. We call this our office work, since we set up our little offices so no one can see our work. We will continue to work on addition this week and take an assessment towards the end of this week. Thank you for checking homework and signing the homework sheet. Your support is invaluable to your child and their success at school!
